We are very pleased to have renewed our CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) accreditation for 2018/19. In order to achieve this accreditation we have had to go through a rigorous process in order to demonstrate our compliance with health and safety standards.
This scheme was created by experienced health and safety professionals in 1997 to improve health and safety standards across the UK. CHAS are in partnership with the Association of London Government (ALG) and have been a key developer of the core criteria held in the Approved Code of Practice which supported the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (now recognised as CDM 2015) and is a founder member of SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement). As one of the founders of third party accreditation they are not only a trusted advisor on health and safety compliance, they are an authority. CHAS set industry benchmarks, provide assurance and reassurance, and offer best-in-class services.
In response to our clients needs we have upgraded our Constructionline membership from Silver to GOLD, our profile can be found on their website under membership number 177485. In order to gain this accreditation we have demonstrated that we adhere to the latest industry laws and legislation.
The Constructionline supplier assessment that we have undertaken has been developed by central Government, collaboration with leaders from the construction industry (including HSE, Equalities and Human Rights Commission and Constructing Excellence) to ensure that we meet the right standards. Constructionline standards are very high meaning that we have been assessed to the current government and industry standards, including PAS 91:2013.
A B Construction have been vetted and independently inspected on joining by an inspector from the British Board of Agrement in order for us to provide credible proof of our quality, an independent organisation accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service, we are then inspected again every 3 years to reassure clients that we deserve to be called a Master Builder.
The Federation of Master Builders are the largest trade association in the UK construction industry. For over 75 years the not-for-profit Federation of Master Builders has championed continuous improvement in building standards. We have adopted this accreditation to provide evidence that you are working with the right company.
The Safecontractor scheme is an SSIP-approved health and safety assessment scheme for contractors that want to demonstrate that they are taking responsibility for their legal health and safety requirements.
In order to achieve this accreditation A B Construction SW Ltd have gone through a process which requires us to evidence that our health and safety paperwork is up to date and meets legal industry requirements.
We are included on their portal and our certificate number is AX8809.
NICEIC provides assessment and certification services for contractors working across the building services sectors. They assess electricians, renewable energy installers, plumbers and gas and heating engineers.
They have a wealth of industry and technical experience built up over 50+ years experience. With such an influential industry position they campaign on issues that affect the industry and their customers.
Under Part P of the building regulations, notifiable work by Electricians should be checked and certified, that the installation is safe and complies with the Building Regulations.

As an NICEIC Electrical Contractor, it is required that we notify our electrical work to Building Notifications within 30 days of completing the job. We also provide our customers with an installation certificate that documents the work that we have undertaken.
